SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are searching for a suspect that walked up to a man sitting in his car and stabbed him between the eyes Tuesday.

San Diego Police said the victim had just driven his girlfriend to a clinic and was sitting in his parked vehicle when the suspect walked up and stabbed him between his eyes.

The knife did not penetrate the victim's skull. He was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He will need plastic surgery, police said.

Police say the suspect is known as a patient at the clinic, but not in custody. Police described him as a black male in his 20s, 5-feet-6-inches tall, and wearing a gray shirt and black shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to call San Diego Police at 619-531-2000.
