NATIONAL CITY, Calif. – Police are looking for a man who stabbed another man during an argument in National City Wednesday night, leaving him with life-threatening injuries.
The stabbing occurred at about 9 p.m. in the 1900 block of C Avenue. According to National City police, the suspect approached the 21-year-old victim and an argument ensued between the two. At some point, the suspect stabbed the victim and fled.
The victim was taken by ambulance to UC San Diego Medical with critical injuries. At last report he was in stable condition, police said.
Officers scoured the neighborhood for the suspect but were unable to locate him. There was no immediate suspect description.
It was not clear what precipitated the argument and whether the suspect and victim knew each other.
