SAN DIEGO -- A man was rushed to a hospital after being wounded in a car-to-car shooting in the Stockton neighborhood Wednesday morning.
Sometime around 3 a.m. San Diego police report a man was dropping off his girlfriend at a house in the area of 32nd and J streets when another vehicle pulled up alongside him and someone inside opened fire on the victim’s car.
The man was struck by gunfire as the suspect vehicle sped away. No one else was hit.
The man was driven by a private car to Sharp Grossmont Hospital. He was later transferred to Sharp Memorial Hospital. San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said his wounds were not considered life-threatening.
The shooting may have been gang-related, Delimitros said. There was no word on a motive. The suspects remain at large.
