SAN YSIDRO, Calif. – A man was found stabbed to death alongside a roadway in San Ysidro Thursday morning.
San Diego police and San Diego Fire-Rescue responded before 6 a.m. to the 300 block of Sycamore Road. to find a Hispanic man in his mid-20s lying on the sidewalk. He had a puncture wound to his upper body. Paramedics attempted CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim’s name was not released. It was unclear if he was from San Ysidro.
Homicide detectives were combing the area for evidence. Police found some clothes in a nearby park that may be related to the investigation. There was no immediate description of the suspect or suspects.
Sycamore Road was temporarily closed down in the immediate area of the stabbing.
