SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A man was arrested early Wednesday morning after police said he fired several shots from a rifle and shotgun as he walked the streets in the Cortez Hill neighborhood.
At about 2:30 a.m., San Diego police responded to reports of shots being fired in an area near 4th Avenue and Cedar Street.
When officers arrived, they spotted 42-year-old Jason Thomas Turner holding a shotgun in his hands with a rifle slung over his shoulder.
With guns drawn, officers approached Turner and arrested him without incident.
Turner was booked into jail on suspicion of negligent discharge of a firearm and carrying a loaded firearm in a public place, according to jail records.
Police told 10News they don't know why Turner -- who lives in an apartment building on Cedar Street -- began firing his guns.
Police believe no one was injured and no property was damaged by the gunfire.
