SAN DIEGO – A man suffered head injuries after jumping out of a moving cab on the Interstate 15 freeway in the North Park area early Wednesday morning.
The cab driver told California Highway Patrol officers he had picked up a passenger and driven him around for about 45 minutes before being asked to take the man home.
Sometime before 4:15 a.m., as the cab was slowing on I-15 near University Avenue, the driver said the man suddenly opened the door, jumped out and ran away.
CHP officers responded and located the bleeding man on a nearby street. He was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.
It was not immediately clear why the man jumped out of the cab.
