WANTED: Man breaks into Mountain View home, tries to sexually assault woman

SAN DIEGO – Police have identified a man wanted on accusations he broke into a woman’s home and attempted to sexually assault her last month in Mountain View. 
 
The suspect is identified as 47-year-old Alejandro Avila Ibarra. 
 
Just before 5 a.m. on May 27, a man entered a home in the 3900 block of T Street. According to San Diego police, he grabbed a woman in the entrance of her home and tried to sexually assault her. She fought back and the suspect fled the scene, but not before sustaining a severe injury to the fingers on what is likely his left hand. 
 
Ibarra is described as Hispanic, 5-foot-8 with a medium build. He weighs about 180 pounds. Police have released two photos of him. 
 
A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information should call San Diego police at 619-531-2210.
