SAN DIEGO -- Police are hunting for two armed suspects who reportedly pistol whipped a man while breaking into a home in Valencia Park overnight Monday.
San Diego police report that at 12:54 a.m. Tuesday, two armed men entered a home in the 5300 block of Churchward Street, tied up two male victims and robbed the house.
According to police, as the suspects were leaving, they encountered a man and woman walking up the driveway to the home. One of the suspects struck the man in the head with the butt of his shotgun, police said. No shots were fired. The victim was not seriously hurt.
One suspect was described as white, about 30 years of age, 6-feet-tall and armed with a shotgun. The other man was described as Hispanic, 5-foot-10, 30 years of age and armed with a handgun. Both were wearing blue jeans. Police did not disclose what was stolen from the home.
The case remains under investigation.
