At least 8 major hotel-casinos are currently undergoing renovations and the cost is half a billion dollars.
Some of the resorts involved include Monte Carlo, Caesars Palace, Flamingo, Planet Hollywood and Harrahs.
They are hoping the renovations will attract more guests and that those guests will be willing to pay more to stay at upgraded properties.
