WHITTIER (CNS) - A person with a gun caused a disturbance at the Whittier Community Hospital emergency room, before shooting himself to death Sunday.
Radio station KNX reported that an armed man had been in the hospital's emergency room, and that he later shot himself to death just outside it.
KNX reported that people inside had been ordered locked down, but that order was rescinded at about 12:20 p.m.
The sheriff's office and Whittier police gave no immediate details about the incident at the hospital, 9080 Colima Rd.
The ``situation is contained, investigation is ongoing,'' the agencies said on social media.
