CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- Monday, a local community organization aimed at addressing youth homelessness worked to give eye exams and glasses to those in need.
Urban Street Angels worked with Pack and Bianes Vision Care and Essilor Vision Foundation to give out the exams and glasses.
Urban Street Angels focus on transitional housing and work programs for transition-aged youth, according to their website. The non-profit also operates emergency overnight shelters for up to 25 youth.
The organization partners with 8 West, a startup that employees former homeless youth and provides transitional housing and support.
