Woman arrested in North Park hit-and-run

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police chased down and arrested a driver who walked away after she allegedly crashed into several parked vehicles in North Park.

At around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, San Diego police were called to Kansas Street, near El Cajon Boulevard, in response to reports of a vehicle crash.

When officers arrived at the scene, they saw numerous parked vehicles damaged and the car suspected in the incident, but the driver was nowhere to be found.

A short time later, officers spotted the female driver walking on El Cajon Boulevard with her dog. When officers approached her, the woman ran towards Utah Street, but one officer tackled her and then arrested her.

The woman’s dog ran off and has not been located, 10News learned.
