San Diego is honoring the life and legacy of Chargers great and KGTV family member Billy Ray Smith Jr. on Saturday.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. at The Rick Church in Point Loma, giving families, friends, and community members the chance to share their favorite memories and stories of the San Diego legend. The public is welcome to attend.

For those who are unable to attend, click here to watch the live stream. The stream will be live 15 minutes before the celebration of life.

Billy Ray passed away after a long battle with dementia caused by CTE. He built a legacy that stretched far beyond the football field, which included time at ABC 10News.

Billy Ray is survived by his wife, ABC 10News Anchor Kimberly Hunt, and their daughter Savannah. He was 64 years old.
