SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- UC San Diego officials Monday confirmed a student tested positive for coronavirus and has self-quarantined.

School officials did not provide additional details on the unidentified student’s case, but they said the student “remains isolated while receiving care” and the school is “in contact with the student and is offering support during recovery.”

According to officials, UC San Diego is working with San Diego County Public Health and “following their guidance on notification to individuals with recent close contact.”

School officials are urging anyone on campus to contact their health care provider if they develop COVID-19 symptoms.
