SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for a person who stole thousands of dollars’ worth of cigarettes from a 7-Eleven store in Linda Vista.
At around 4 a.m. Monday, San Diego police said a person entered the 7-Eleven at 6615 Linda Vista Rd. while the store clerk was away from the counter.
With no one around, the thief grabbed multiple cartons of cigarettes and then fled the scene in a vehicle.
A description of the thief and vehicle was not immediately available.
10News learned the clerk told police that 7-Eleven workers were notified of similar thefts in Orange County and Inland Empire.
