SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The search is on for three teenagers that held a man at gunpoint then stole his car in Paradise Hills.

According to San Diego police, the incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday at the victim's apartment complex on Doriana Street.

Police believe the carjacking happened just minutes after the same teenagers attempted, but failed, to carjack another man near the intersection of Alta View and Potomac, a few blocks away.

The victim suffered a minor injuries to the head and is expected to be OK.

Police say the three teens are believed to be between the ages of 16-18. They sped off in the victim's gray Honda and are still on the loose.
