SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A local restaurant will provide free lunch on Tuesday for federal workers affected by the partial government shutdown.

Between 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Taqueria Revolucion’s three San Diego County locations is giving lunches to government employees.

Restaurant owner Emilio Tamez said he has friends who are federal employees and they’re starting to feel the pinch. He told 10News providing a free meal is the least he can do.

“It's just a free lunch, but if I can put a smile on somebody's face just for a little bit, then it's all worth it,” Tamez said.

To get a free lunch on Tuesday, workers will need to show their federal ID.
