SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A Lyft driver was allegedly carjacked by four teenage boys Thursday evening in an area near Petco Park, San Diego police said.

According to police, the 22-year-old rideshare driver was dropping off the four juvenile passengers in a parking lot at Imperial Avenue and Park Boulevard at around 7:45 p.m. when the incident occurred.

Police said one of the boys pointed a gun at the driver and demanded the car.

After the driver was forced out, the four boys -- believed to be 15-17 years of age -- left with the vehicle. The silver 2015 Hyundai Sonata, with California license plate 8FCE374, was last seen traveling northwest on Tony Gwynn Drive.

The driver was not injured in the incident.

Anyone with information on the vehicle is asked to call San Diego police at 619-531-2900 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
