SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Police are investigating a shooting in Sherman Heights that left a man with serious injuries.
According to San Diego police, a 911 call was made at 11:24 p.m. Thursday regarding gunshots heard in the 400 block of 24th Street.
Responding officers arrived to find “several cartridge casings and blood in the street,” police said.
Police officials said a man with an apparent gunshot wound was dropped off at Sharp Coronado Hospital a short time after the reported shooting.
The shooting victim, identified only as a 32-year-old Hispanic man, was taken to a trauma center in San Diego and is in critical condition, according to police.
SDPD’s Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting; information on a suspected shooter was not immediately available.
