SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A pursuit on San Diego surface streets and freeways Monday night ended with the arrest of three people in Mexico.
At around 10:45 p.m., San Diego police attempted to pull over a Toyota 4Runner SUV on 30th Street for an unspecified traffic violation.
The SUV’s driver refused to stop, speeding onto state Route 94, Interstate 5 and then onto streets in Hillcrest.
The SUV eventually made its way south on I-5, onto eastbound state Route 54 and then south on Interstate 805 into the Chula Vista area.
With police in pursuit, the SUV was able to avoid spike strips and entered into Mexico.
Mexican law enforcement officers were able to stop the SUV and took two men and a woman into custody.
10News learned Mexican authorities were working to have the trio turned over to San Diego police.
