SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A man was arrested in connection with a break-in and sexual assault that happened last week in the Encanto area, police said.

San Diego police said 25-year-old William Lawrence Davis was arrested May 5 on suspicion of burglary and sexual assault.

According to police, on the morning of May 3, Davis allegedly broke into a home in the 4100 block of Wunderlin Avenue and encountered a woman inside.

Police alleged Davis placed a pillow over the woman’s head as she and her toddler daughter tried to leave the house. He then made what was described as skin-to-skin contact with the woman, police said.

Other details on Davis’ arrest were not immediately released.
