SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A massive crowd of demonstrators marched peacefully from San Diego Police Department headquarters to North Park on Thursday.
Organizers of the event called it a youth-led demonstration against racial injustice.
“We definitely want a whole revamped police department, where there is way more understanding between the community and police,” one demonstrator said.
San Diego police tweeted that they estimated roughly 2,000 people were taking part in the protest, adding it was one of the largest they’ve seen, but it stayed peaceful.
