Teens detained after reported break-in at San Diego middle school

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police apprehended two teens suspected of breaking into a San Carlos-area middle school late Monday evening.

At around 10:30 p.m., San Diego police responded to an alarm from Pershing Middle School campus police.

When officers arrived at the school on 8204 San Carlos Dr., they spotted three teens wearing masks in the school’s cafeteria.

Officers confronted the teens, but they ran away. Two of the teens were detained, but another got away.

Police are trying to determine how the teens got into the cafeteria and if they vandalized or stole anything.
