SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Pet owners are getting extra help from the San Diego Humane Society during the coronavirus pandemic.

SD Humane Society officials say they will be distributing 70,000 pounds of pet food and supplies for county pet owners in need.

Pet owners can visit any of the Humane Society’s three campus locations between 10 a.m.-4 p.m. to pick up a bag of dog food or cat food, as well as supplies such as cat litter, pet treats and beds, while supplies last.

  • San Diego -- 5480 Gaines St.
  • Escondido -- 3500 Burnet Dr.
  • Oceanside -- 572 Airport Rd.

Additionally, the San Diego Humane Society is working with the San Diego Food Bank, San Diego Unified School District, and other groups to make pet food available at their distribution sites.
