SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Firefighters were stationed at some major San Diego County intersections Thursday morning to raise money for this year’s Firefighter Boot Drive.
The annual event, now in its 21st year, was conducted to support San Diego’s Burn Institute.
According to Burn Institute officials, the 2019 event raised over $200,000 for Burn Institute programs and services, including the “Camp Beyond the Scars” for children with burn injuries and Firefighters Red Line of Courage Fund.
If you missed the firefighters on Thursday morning, you can still donate at burninstitute.org/donate.
