(KGTV) - A grocery store at an El Cajon shopping center was evacuated Thursday morning due to a bomb threat.

San Diego County sheriff’s officials said someone called the Smart & Final Extra! (13439 Camino Canada) shortly before 8:30 a.m. and indicated that a bomb would go off at the store “within the hour.”

The threat forced the store to evacuate and the closure of the East County Square shopping center.

Sheriff’s officials warned the public to avoid Camino Canada at Los Coches Road due to the probe.

At around 10 a.m., sheriff’s officials gave the all-clear after no threats were found in the store and around the shopping center.

The incident is under investigation.

Anyone with information was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477. Tips leading to an arrest could be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
