SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Authorities are investigating five small fires that were reported within minutes of each other in the Morena and Linda Vista areas late Sunday night.
San Diego Fire-Rescue Department crews were called to an area on Via Las Cumbres and Linda Vista Road, near the University of San Diego campus, at around 10:45 p.m. in response to a small fire.
About 15 minutes later, crews received a report of a fire in the 59000 block of Linda Vista Road, followed shortly thereafter by a report of a fire in the 5700 block of Lauretta Street.
A fourth fire broke out in the 5200 block of Linda Vista Road, followed by a fifth fire in the 5500 block of Riley Street.
While the first four fires burned either brush or trash cans, the fifth fire caused some damage to a pickup truck.
San Diego police and fire investigators believe it's possible the fires were intentionally set.
No injuries were reported.
