SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Rancho Bernardo and Westview high schools will have extra security on campus Wednesday morning due to a threatening social media post.
In a letter to families, Poway Unified School District officials said an image on a social media post referenced a threat on January 30 and appeared to be written on a bathroom wall.
However, according to district officials, no threatening messages were found in bathrooms at either high school.
Officials noted the background in the photo does not match any of the bathrooms at Westview High or Rancho Bernardo High.
Heads up that there is a similar post being shared among students at a couple different schools. No threatening message has been found and the photo does not appear to match our facilities. pic.twitter.com/b3Aci9ynVs
