2 vehicles sought in deadly Vista hit-and-run crash

VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) – A hit-and-run incident at a Vista intersection that possibly involved two vehicles left one person dead.

The collision was reported at around 4:30 a.m. at the intersection of W. Vista Way and Melrose Drive, according to sheriff’s deputies.

Deputies got a call about a man lying in the road. He was taken to Palomar Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.
The victim was identified only as a 60 year old man.

Investigators believe the first vehicle to strike the male was a 2015-2019 silver Dodge Ram 1500 or 2500 pickup. The pickup should have front-end damage. The second vehicle is unknown, deputies said.
