SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Two men chased and pinned down two women who allegedly broke into their car early Monday morning.
Authorities said the incident began in the Mission Valley area just before 4 a.m. and culminated in a chase and crash off Interstate 15.
10News learned two men caught two women in the midst of breaking into their car, and when they confronted the women, the women got into a red Ford sedan and tried to run the men over.
The men got into a silver Mercedes-Benz and pursued the Ford, with both vehicles hitting each other during the chase.
The pursuit ended when the men executed a “PIT” maneuver on the Ford, causing it to veer off the road on the southbound I-15 on-ramp from El Cajon Boulevard.
The women got out of the car and tried to run, but the men tackled them and held them down until authorities got to the scene.
Both women were arrested and face possible charges of theft and assault with a deadly weapon.
The two men were not injured.
The incident is under investigation.
