SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A man was shot to death outside of an apartment complex in Logan Heights Tuesday night, according to San Diego police.
Police told ABC 10News that officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of Webster Avenue at around 8:45 p.m. due to reports of a shooting in the neighborhood.
Police said a 46-year-old man was found with gunshot wounds. The victim, who was not identified, was taken to the hospital but died after arrival, police confirmed.
According to SDPD officials, officers detained three people who witnesses said “were involved in an altercation with the victim just prior to the shooting.”
SDPD officials said the victim and the three people detained knew each other. The victim and one of the people detained were “involved in a romantic relationship.”
One of the people detained, 23-year-old Jaimie Roberts was later arrested and booked into San Diego County Jail on suspicion of murder.
The SDPD Homicide Unit is investigating the circumstances that led to the deadly shooting.
