SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A man was taken to the hospital after being shot near his Logan Heights home early Tuesday morning.

The shooting occurred just after 12:15 a.m. in the 3000 block of Webster Avenue, according to San Diego police.

Police said the 29-year-old victim pulled into his driveway and got out of his vehicle when a green Honda Civic pulled up and two men got out.

According to police, the men asked the victim where he was from, but the victim said he was not a gang member.

One of the men from the Civic opened fire, hitting the victim in the leg, back and abdomen, police said.

The two men, who appeared to be in their 20s and were wearing dark clothing, got back into the Civic and drove away.

Police said the victim was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
