NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (KGTV) -- A man was rushed to the hospital after being shot multiple times in a parking lot in National City.
The shooting was reported shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday in a parking lot in the 700 block of E 8th Street, near Highland Avenue, according to National City police.
Details on what led to the shooting were unclear, but 10News learned the victim was shot at least six times in his chest. Another person was reportedly shot at but not hit by gunfire.
The victim was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center with injuries of unknown severity.
The suspected gunman was reported to have fled the scene on foot after opening fire. A description of the gunman was not immediately available.
