SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are searching for two people who may be involved in a shooting at a Mission Valley motel that left a man injured.
The incident happened just after 4 a.m. at the Motel 6 at 2424 Hotel Circle North, according to San Diego police.
Police believe some kind of altercation between two people -- a man and woman -- and another man led to at least one gunshot fired at the motel. It is unknown if the incident happened inside a motel room or at another location on the motel grounds.
According to police, the injured man made his way to the lobby area and asked for help. He was transported to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Officers searched the motel for the couple but could not find them. Descriptions of the pair were not immediately available.
Motel guests and staff were not evacuated during the search.
