SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police are investigating a fight which may lead to the death of an independent living facility resident, officers said Thursday.
Police got a call about a disturbance from the facility at 5700 Mariposa Place in Alta Vista at 8:45 a.m.
Officers arrived at the scene and found 59-year-old Philip Muse unresposive on a rear patio. Muse was taken to the hospital but is not expected to survive, police said.
Muse assaulted an employee of the facility then fought with another resident, according to investigators.
Police said Muse had no signs of major trauma to his body. The case is being investigated as a suspicious death.
