SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A man peacefully exited a Mira Mesa residence after barricading himself inside for several hours Sunday morning, officials said.
San Diego Police responded to reports of shots fired near Mason Elementary School around 5:40 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found a neighboring home had been hit.
As officers continued their investigation, police said additional shots were fired, though the intended target remains undisclosed.
The SWAT Team was dispatched and surrounded the home where the suspect was.
Police told ABC 10News that charges will be dependent on the result of the investigation. No officers were injured.
