SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 27-year-old man was shot and critically wounded in the Mountain View area of San Diego and remains hospitalized in intensive care today, according to San Diego police.
The shooting took place at 7:15 p.m. Friday in the 3700 block of Ocean View Boulevard, said SDPD Officer John Buttle.
The victim was shot three times and was initially facing life- threatening wounds, Buttle said. One shot was in the chest and resulted in a collapsed lung and possible paralysis. The other two bullets hit his legs, but doctors managed to stabilize his condition.
A motive for the shooting was unknown. A description of the shooter was not available.
