Local organization discusses COVID-19 pandemic's impact on first responders

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A series of live webinars are being held to discuss the impact the COVID-19 pandemic is having on first responders, their families, and those in the community they serve.

The first of three webinars will be held Tuesday, Jan. 26, starting at 12 p.m. on the SDFirstRespondersProgram.org website. The other sessions are scheduled for Jan. 28 and Feb. 3, both starting at 12 p.m.

All webinars will feature licensed therapists, behavioral health experts, and first responders.

The focus of the Jan. 26 webinar/discussion will be on the families of first responders who are continuing to work amid the pandemic.

The discussions are organized by the Fire Captain Ryan J. Mitchell's First Responder Behavioral Health Support Program.
