SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Hundreds took part in a rally and march in protest of U.S. immigration policies Friday evening.

The event was organized by the Coalition to Close the Concentration Camps San Diego. The group is calling for the closure of immigration detention centers across the border citing inhumane conditions.

It follows recent reports of squalid conditions and inhumane treatment of migrants at some detention centers. On Friday, Vice President Mike Pence toured a Texas detention center and refuted the claims, painting a very different picture.

The protestors also had a laundry list of demands. Aside from closing the detention centers, they wanted all the migrants in, calling for a world without borders. They also wanted to stop deportations, abolish ICE, reunite all children with their families, and decriminalize humanitarian aid.

There was a large turnout at a rally in Oceanside.
