SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- An investigation is underway after a fire damaged an abandoned home in Southcrest late Monday night.
According to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, crews were called to the fire on 36th and Newton avenue just before midnight.
It took firefighters at least 15 minutes to stop the fire from spreading to nearby homes.
Because the house is abandoned and boarded up, the fire is being considered suspicious and is being investigated.
No one was injured in the fire.
