FBI searches for Chula Vista credit union robbery suspect

CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - The FBI and Chula Vista Police released surveillance pictures Friday to find a man suspected of robbing a credit union in the South Bay.

The man went into the California Coast Credit Union (368 East H St.) about 10:30 Thursday morning, police said.

He handed the teller a demand note which read, “This is a robbery. I have a gun.”

The man gestured to his waist but never showed a gun, police said. The teller gave him cash and he left.

Police said the man was wearing a grey beanie hat and black “Jordan” brand jacket with a high neck. He is black, possibly Somali, and in his late 20s or early 30s. He is about 5’10” and had face stubble.
