SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Officials with the Federal Aviation Administration are looking into an incident involving a helicopter that flew low over water in Pacific Beach and Mission Bay and dropped shirts and hats on Labor Day.

The San Diego Union-Tribune, citing a San Diego police spokesman, first reported of the incident, which occurred Monday afternoon at Crystal Pier, De Anza Cove and Crown Point.

SDPD officials confirmed to 10News that they received a report of a helicopter flying low over the water in the Pacific Beach and Mission Bay areas, but police said the FAA was handling the investigation.
