Man shot in the leg in Lemon Grove

LEMON GROVE, Calif. (KGTV) – Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a shooting in a Lemon Grove neighborhood that left a man injured Monday.

San Diego County sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of gunfire at a home in the 1900 block of Washington Street just after 5 a.m.

Responding deputies and emergency responders arrived to find a man in the garage with a gunshot wound to his left leg.

The injured man, who is said to be in his 30s, was taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital and reported to be in stable condition.

At least three other people, including a young child, were in the home at the time of the shooting, but they were not hurt.

A stretch of Washington Street was shut down as deputies investigated the incident.

No other details, including a description of a possible shooter, were immediately available.
