LEMON GROVE (CNS) - A brother and sister were in custody this morning in connection with the shooting of a 23-year-old man at a Lemon Grove strip mall.

Jacob Reyes was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and a sheriff's SWAT team at a home in Lemon Grove just after midnight Thursday.

His sister, Jaysena Reyes, turned herself in to deputies later Thursday, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

The shooting was reported just after 6 p.m. Feb. 3 in the 6900 block of Broadway, just east of state Route 94, the department said.

Jacob is suspected of shooting the victim multiple times in the legs and Jaysena is suspected of being an accessory to a crime, the department said.

The circumstances that led to the shooting were under investigation. The victim was taken to a hospital and his injuries were considered non-life-threatening.

Jacob Reyes, 24, was on federal probation for unrelated crimes and was booked into federal custody. He will be booked into county custody once the probation violation is cleared, the department said. Jaysena Reyes, 25, is being held on $2 million bail.
