SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – A high-speed chase ended in a crash in the Ridgeview area early Thursday morning, and police are still searching for the driver who fled from the wreckage.
At around 3 a.m., San Diego police attempted to pull over a speeding car on Euclid Avenue in City Heights, but the vehicle drove away, reaching speeds of at least 90 mph as officers were in pursuit.
At the Home Avenue on-ramp to I-805, the driver lost control of the car and crashed into a guardrail. The driver then ditched the damaged vehicle, leaving behind several shotgun shells.
A description of the driver was not immediately available.
