SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A driver was arrested after police said he crashed his SUV into the wall of a Pacific Beach home and then tried to run away.
At around 12 a.m., San Diego police said a black Jeep Cherokee slammed into the wall surrounding a house in the 3900 block of Haines Street.
Some residents awoken by the loud crash saw the driver get out of the vehicle and take off running. Two men chased after the driver and eventually caught up to him a few blocks away.
As the men pinned the driver down, he complained he could not breathe, causing the men to let him go. However, the driver used the opportunity to get up and run away.
The two men caught up to the driver again and tackled him, keeping him down until police officers arrived and took him into custody.
No injuries were reported.
