SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — The North County Transit District on Wednesday morning initiated at temporary suspension of Coaster train service between the Poinsettia and Encinitas stations due to a broken water line.

In a tweet at around 7:20 a.m., NCTD officials made the announcement and cited “unforeseen circumstances” for the reason behind the service pause.

NCTD officials later told ABC 10News, “A broken water line caused an issue with the signal infrastructure.”

Officials noted maintenance crews were on hand for repairs and service was expected to resume at 9 a.m.
