CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) - Police arrested a driver following a chase on the streets of Chula Vista early Thursday morning.
At around 12 a.m., Chula Vista police received reports of a blue van doing donuts in the parking lot of the Palomar Trolley Station.
When officers approached the van, the driver sped off and led them on a pursuit from Palomar Street to Broadway.
The van eventually pulled into the parking lot at the Chula Vista Center mall (555 Broadway) and stopped in front of the BJ’s restaurant.
Officers took the male driver into custody and he screamed as he was placed in an ambulance for an evaluation.
Police are looking into whether the driver was under the influence.
