SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Author and former first daughter Chelsea Clinton will present and read her new children's book, "Don't Let Them Disappear: Twelve Endangered Species Across the Globe," at the San Diego Zoo Thursday.
Clinton wrote the book in partnership with illustrator Gianna Marino to bring awareness to endangered animals like rhinos, tigers and pandas and how to help them survive. "Don't Let Them Disappear" is Clinton's sixth book and her fifth children's book, following last October's "Start Now! You Can Make a Difference."
After the book reading, Clinton will field questions from children in the audience in a question-and-answer session moderated by San Diego Zoo Global ambassador Rick Schwartz. She will also sign copies of the book, which are included with admission to the event.
Tickets for the event begin at $27.99 for one attendee and one book, not including admission to the park, which is separate and required. Residents can purchase tickets at sandiegozoo.org. Event attendance is capped at 1,200 people.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the zoo's Wegeforth Bowl. The San Diego Zoo is located at 2920 Zoo Drive.
