NATIONAL CITY, Calif. (KGTV) – A shooting on a National City street early Wednesday morning left a car riddled with bullet holes, but no injuries were reported.
At around 2:30 a.m., National City police officers responded to reports of multiple shots fired in the 2100 block of C Street.
Officers arrived to find numerous bullet casings on the ground near 21st Street and C Street. A short time later, officers spotted a car parked on B Street and 27th Street with bullet holes in the windshield and car door, as well as a shot-out window and damaged tire.
Two men inside the car told police they were parked on C Street when they were approached by a group of people. An argument ensued and shots were fired at the car, police told 10News.
The two men in the car were not injured.
A description of the shooter or shooters was not immediately provided.
